Faculty Spotlight: Vicki Villone shares how asking questions on Packback is improving students’ writing skills
Vicki Villone teaches an online English course at Harrisburg Area Community College. Since implementing Packback, she’s excited by the improvement she’s seen in her students’ writing skills, which she attributes to the practice of writing questions on Packback.
“The questions that they are asking [on Packback] are really helping their writing. They’re helping their writing process. They’re helping them to think about writing and researching and I believe that they are learning more in the process.”

“I’m using Packback for the first time and I’m really excited about the way that it is engaging the students in the course material. I am learning about how students are learning from the material from the textbook, from the lecture notes that are posted online and learning in different ways than I had before. [Students] are designing [and] creating their own questions. They are showing what is interesting to them, what they are finding useful about the course materials.”
