“Explore” on Packback’s Platform Search

Packback’s product team is excited to unveil “Explore”; our new search feature that allows every Packback member to explore the best discussions from every community across the country.

Until recently, members of Packback Questions could only read and discover the discussions within their own class, course or topic community. But that meant, for example, that if they were a member of a community for their Marketing class…they could really only ask questions and read content about Marketing.

To support truly fearless, relentless curiosity, we created “Explore” to allow our members to read and discover great threads from all communities on the platform by keyword, label, community and more. And as always, names are completely anonymized to anyone viewing your post unless you’ve selected “Public” in your privacy settings (or unless the viewer is a member of the community where you posted the question or response).

Explore Feature Highlights

See the Daily Top Posts

Before you enter a keyword into Explore, you’ll see today’s top posts by Curiosity Score across all communities on Packback. These are a great way to see what’s happening on the platform today and discover new topics you might not think to search.

And if you write an awesome question or response in a class community, you may see your own post appear on the daily Top Posts!

Search by Keyword

Use Explore to search by keyword across the entire Packback community.

Curious what students around the country are saying about recent events? See what students in Maine, Alaska, Alabama, Illinois, California (and more!) are saying about hot topics in politics, science, medicine, and more. You can search by the topics that really interest you to discover discussions about questions that you’re curious about. You can use all boolean search criteria to refine your exploration!

Filter your search by either all communities or one of the communities which you are a member of, and by labels like “Featured Posts” or “Pinned Posts”.

In-Community Search Capabilities

We’ve also improved in-community search capabilities for members of a Packback Questions Curiosity Community. With the recent updates, you can now search questions, search featured posts, and search users through the respective tabs of the community.
